Serato wisely doesn’t try and show you BPM to multiple decimal places – let’s be honest who cares if a BPM is 123.334 or 123.543!īut that means should the program inaccurately guess a BPM (which nearly always means it guesses it half or double the speed it should be) it’s actually impossible for you to completely accurately double or halve the BPM using arithmetic, because you don’t know the exact starting BPM. Luckily it’s simple to get Serato to do that calculation for you.
